In its initial phase, the PPDS-2 in Obstetrics and Gynecology offers two major areas of concentration:
- Fetomaternal - focuses on maternal and fetal health, emphasizing diagnosis, management, and treatment of high-risk pregnancies.
- Fertility, Endocrinology, and Reproduction (FER) - specializes in infertility management, hormonal disorders, and advanced technology-based reproductive therapies.
Program Highlights
A key strength of this program lies in its emphasis on minimally invasive education and procedural skills, aligning with global trends in modern medical practice. The minimally invasive approach enhances patient safety, accelerates recovery, and reduces postoperative complications.
Remarks
With the establishment of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Subspecialty Program at Udayana University / Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital in August 2024, the program aims to produce outstanding, culturally grounded subspecialist doctors who can contribute to improving maternal and child healthcare services. This initiative not only strengthens the capacity of teaching hospitals but also embodies Udayana University’s commitment to advancing national and international health development.
